Rudolf Steiner: "Most people are asleep to the demands of the present, since — we must be very clear on this point — the questions put to humanity cannot be answered except out of knowledge that comes from initiation science. . . . We cannot understand society without understanding the world in its entirety. It is impossible for human beings to initiate programs or ideas or ideals in day-to-day life without first laying a spiritual foundation for their initiatives; for currently, all over the world, souls have no grasp of the origins of their impulses, initiatives, and ideas."
