Rudolf Steiner: "We experience our destiny because it is the mirror that we have to experience while we go through many stages in the spiritual world as a spiritual person, and because we rush from stage to stage through what we experience in destiny. Because ultimately, for a deeper understanding, everything is life, in the body, in the spirit, through many mental and physical lives, all life is in completion. It's not only man that strives, as long as he lives, it's every being that strives; the whole world strives, the whole universe strives from perfection to perfection. And a deep sense of the purpose of life and becoming is revealed to one only when man awakens from his life in the physical world, of the material processes, to a life in the spirit, a spiritual life on Earth, facing the image of perfection here in the physical. The prototype of all perfection shows in the spirit."
