In the span of the last several weeks the spiritual community in which I live — The Himalayan Institute — has suffered the passing of three longterm residents who were paragons of virtue and pillars of the community: Rolf Sovik, Reave Watkins, and Stephen Moulton. Each was exceptionally pleasant-minded, good-hearted, and well-intentioned. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
May my love be the sheaths
That now surround you,
Cooling all fever,
Warming all coldness,
Interwoven with sacrifice.
Live, upheld by love,
Light-endowed, upward!
— Rudolf Steiner
