"I am come to send fire on the earth"

 

"I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!"  — Luke 12:49-50

Rudolf Steiner:  "Characterizing Christ in the sense of St. Luke's Gospel, one would describe him in terms of the warm fire of love that wells forth from the heart of Christ, of what he means for the world through working in the heights where the Seraphim are to be found. This fire of love streams throughout the world from the Seraphim, and it is Christ Jesus who imparts this loving fire to us on Earth."
