It's Karmageddon: We have sown the wind and must reap the whirlwind

Their Royal I-nesses: the Clumps

Who to vote for? It's like Sophie's choice, only the exact opposite. I tried to decide who was more despicable, and failed.

They are the King and Queen of Death.
The soul-crushing banality of venality.

The tombstone epitaph of America:
"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"  — Matthew 16:26

"I feel a strong desire to tell you — and I expect you feel a strong desire to tell me — which of these two errors is the worse. That is the devil getting at us. He always sends errors into the world in pairs — pairs of opposites. And he always encourages us to spend a lot of time thinking which is the worse. You see why, of course? He relies on your extra dislike of the one error to draw you gradually into the opposite one. But do not let us be fooled. We have to keep our eyes on the goal and go straight between both errors. We have no other concern than that with either of them."  — C. S. Lewis

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.  —Proverbs 16:18

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. The stalks of grain wither and produce nothing to eat.  —Hosea 8:7

Rudolf Steiner:  "I can impart no more esoteric a saying than: Christ is seeing us.”

Revelation 3:14-22

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

"Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters."  — Matthew 12:30

Thank you, Deborah Mary Newell Tornello, for the Lewis quote!
