Anthroposophy: The reason which cannot be crucified by the world

"Knowledge about the spiritual world cannot be obtained through the tools which are tied to the physical body. To that end, a helper must come who ignites in human beings those things which only the etheric body can know. Someone must come who does not ignite what is dead in the physical body but who ignites what is alive in the human being, what is alive in the etheric, who is with the living, who is with those things which are not physical in human beings on Earth. Someone has to be there who rips out of this sluggish, dead physical body the reason which can understand the spiritual world, the reason which is in human beings and which is united with heaven — the reason which cannot be crucified by the world because it belongs to heaven, which itself crucifies the world, that is, overcomes the world."
