"Spirit Triumphant! Flame through the impotence of fettered, faltering souls! Burn up selfishness, kindle compassion, so that selflessness, the lifestream of humanity, may flow as the wellspring of spiritual rebirth!" — Rudolf Steiner

"I am the light of the world"
Rudolf Steiner:
"[Holding to the middle way in meditation] is hard--very hard and difficult, my dear sisters and brothers! But then we must remember the words of the prologue of the John Gospel (John 1:1-18) and of the verses in John 8:12-14. When we are standing in the middle of the tumult and chaos of the spiritual world, visions and figures come from all sides, and we do not know the way and are torn from here to there, then we should place before our souls the words: "In the beginning was the Word...." and so on, or "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life." Then everything will scatter, and we will be able to behold the right and the true. In this sense, we should ever again place before us the Rosicrucian mantra: E.D.N. -- I.C.M. -- P.S.S.R."
