"Shri Yantra and the Voice of Anthroposophia" by Rick Distasi
In Hindu and Buddhist traditions we can find the mythos of Shri Lalita Devi. This Being can be viewed as the Vedic expression of the Cosmic Divine Sophia. She is defined as the cosmic universal Mother. A Yantra is often a two-dimensional or three-dimensional form. The Shri Yantra form is the perfected mandala form created from the highest mantra spoken from out of the Shri Lalita Devi. The Shri Yantra is actually the perfected human body but expressed in a geometrical form. It is where the macrocosmic Shri Lalita Devi, the Sophia, meets the microcosmic human Being. The ideal human form is created by means of the cosmic word of the Shri Lalita Devi/Sophia interpenetrating the embryo and fetus of the ideal human form. In past ancient times this may have been an idealized goal of the Sophia but had never been fully actualized in human form until the time when the highly spiritualized voice of Anthroposophia as Mary of the Luke Gospel brought this to bear during the gestation of Jesus of Nazareth. In the first two chapters of the Gospel of Luke there appears to be much that has to do with the aspects of speech. This presents a possible window into a very profound mystery pertaining to the voice of Mary. In the Gospel of Luke our attention is directed to a unique human Being who had never before incarnated until then and has never incarnated again since then. Was this the Being: Anthroposophia? Some have postulated that this was so, and with good reason. Mary, the mother of Jesus of the Matthew Gospel, was a reincarnation of Eve, while John the Baptist was a reincarnation of Adam. These are two of the 'oldest souls' of all humanity. The complementary human soul of John the Baptist is the soul that incarnated as Jesus of Nazareth of which we read in the Gospel of Luke. This complementary soul had never incarnated at any time before. A question then arises: Is there a complementary human soul to Mary of the Matthew Gospel? Does Mary, who was once Eve, also have a complementary soul that had never incarnated before this time in human history? The answer is that Mary does have a complementary soul, to whom we may refer as Anthroposophia. This is the individuality we know as Mary of the Luke Gospel. She is the human soul who had carried the body of Jesus of Nazareth within her. A point of interest that should be noted and is later addressed at the end of this chapter is that the Jesus infant of the Luke Gospel was able to speak the Primal language immediately at birth. The only individual who was able to understand this language which he spoke was his mother, Anthroposophia-Mary. In addition, the only souls who were able to understand the Primal language were those souls who had never incarnated before and had never been subject to earthly human language prior to their first human bodily incarnations. Only two human souls met that requirement, of whom we read in the nativity narrations. They were the Nathan soul whom we know as Jesus of Nazareth, and Anthroposophia. It is the assertion of this chapter that her larynx was an extraordinary and exceptional spiritual organ. Moreover, through it she was able to draw into her own etheric body the Eternal Feminine Principle that helped shape and formulate the physical body of Jesus of Nazareth. The macrocosmic Eternal Feminine of the Divine Sophia and Anthroposophia's own microcosmic Eternal Feminine as an incarnated human Being interweaved with the microcosmic physical elements of the masculine body of Jesus of Nazareth coupled with the macrocosmic masculine elements which Vidar brought to bear during the gestation period of Jesus of Nazareth. As miraculous as all of this was, it was only a foreshadow of its culmination some 30 years later. Its culmination came to fruition with the first sign performed by Christ: the Marriage at Cana. Through this Holy Rite at Cana the Christ and the Sophia became One. At Cana Christ poses the question to Mary of the Matthew Gospel, whose soul was integrated by the Divine Sophia: "What weaves between You and Me?" The answer may be summed up with the following: It is the Universal eternal devachanic, astral, etheric, physical feminine interweaving with the Universal eternal devachanic, astral, etheric, physical masculine. On April 29, 1909(GA57) Rudolf Steiner presented a lecture which provides a basis for asserting that Mary of the Luke Gospel was the one-time physical incarnation of Anthroposophia. We read: "Therefore in the true sense of spiritual science we do not speak only of one Mother but of the Mothers, realizing that what we have today as the physical Mother is the last development of the soul-spiritual figure out of the spiritual realm. There are in fact images of Isis representing not one Mother but Mothers, three Mothers." Also, "Thus in the Sistine Madonna we have a picture of the human soul born of the spiritual universe, and springing from this soul the highest that a human being can bring forth — man's own spiritual birth, what within him is a new begetting of cosmic creative activity." The personality figure of the simple young woman who was named Mary in the Luke Gospel was but a silhouette to what truly resided within her. What resided within her was the Being Anthroposophia. What shone upon her and into her soul was the Divine Sophia. Thus, we envision the triune aspect of Mary of the Luke Gospel. Rudolf Steiner spoke of three elements comprising the Threefold Isis-Madonna. We can understand this to refer to the physical/etheric body of the Luke Mary as the first aspect of the Threefold Isis-Madonna. Anthroposophia, the second aspect, was the human soul who incarnated into this body. While the Divine Sophia, the third aspect, provided a composite surrogate Ego element much like the surrogate Ego element that Mani provided for the Nathan soul of the infant Jesus of Nazareth.
