"Rama is the great dharma king, the foremost prince of the solar dynasty, and the representative of the cosmic order of dharma on Earth and in society. His rule, Rama Rajya, is the rule of truth and the divine light. His association with the Sun is, therefore, quite apt. Rama can even be a name for the Sun.
