A man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's Rudolf Steiner for?

Rudolf Steiner:  "With anthroposophical spiritual science, one must participate inwardly, for otherwise one naturally hears only the words, which can be regarded arbitrarily as fantasy. This inner participation, however, one must learn to love. One must resolve to do this. It is uncomfortable, but it becomes noticeable, if one resolves to do it, that this activity refreshes, that it makes the human being fresher in soul and body. I know that may people raise objections concerning this becoming refreshed; they would very much like to obtain through merely passive thinking what should be attained through an active participation of the astral body in a difficult wrestling for comprehension."

"The degree to which the necessity for brotherliness is felt is the degree of our permeation by Christ."  ~Rudolf Steiner

"Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it."
~
1 Corinthians 12:27

Rudolf Steiner: "...the Venus period, which begins at age 63 or 64. Then the inner life has consolidated itself to such an extent that a person may have stripped off all outer egoism through a nice development. Then one only has love for what is in the world, for one's environment. A person does not want to have anything for oneself any more. People are only developing the very first germs of this today, which makes it hard to speak about it."

"A man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?"  ~ Robert Browning
